So, a month ago I was bored so I decided to learn video editing. I liked it () but I couldn't think of anything to do for practice, so I started editing the Darrell Brooks trials into a more watchable and entertaining format. I made three 40min corny-butt videos over the course of a month, and got, like, 10 subscribers, so I kind of gave up.

That was, until friday, when the channel blew up to 300+ subscribers and 14,000+ views . Keep in mind I had no idea this was happening, I have epic opsec so my personal life is completely disconnected from the channel so I didn't get any notifications. I literally just found this out a few hours ago.

That's the good news. The bad news is that my audience is mostly white women . No, seriously.

("but heymoon, that's only 60% of your audience" this is fricking youtube, it's very unusual for so many women to be watching youtube videos. normal numbers are like 70% male, for instance)

I had guessed that this was the fact previously, but didn't have numbers to confirm it. But jesus christ. Also, almost 90% of my audience is older than 35 and most shockingly, a quarter of them are older than 65.

this is hilarious because I was absolutely not taking the trial seriously, instead treating it as a meme by making a corny sitcom intro (it unironically makes me cringe when I think of so many people watching it) and david attenborough narrating

you may have noticed that there are various callbacks to rdrama and marsey on the youtube channel . for instance, in the opening, i say special thanks to "Marsey, Bussy, and RDrama". (I also call myself Hayden Moon lmao) the reason for this was that I was originally going to share the videos here for anyone who had missed the trial so they could get a refresher, but I never got around to it.

So yeah all that to say, we may be getting one or two more middle-aged white women on the site, because, stochastically speaking, at least a few of them wondered what rdrama was, or what the cute cartoon cats I was posting were.
