I was tapping my pen on the table trying to figure out what to write down when she says ‘ Can you stop tapping your pen it's really fricking annoying'

I stopped but it's something I do subconsciously when I'm stuck or confused so I started doing it again when out of nowhere she slammed her hand down on me pushing my hand and pen onto the table and says in the bitchiest voice known to man

Pen tapping isn't assault. Some people have habits they don't realize they're doing. Grow up.

Repetitive noises like that completely unravel my mind from sensory assault. It's not physical, and it's not illegal, but someone doing that near me is very literally doing me harm.

Difference is I'm an adult and can leave if repeated asking doesn't work. Meanwhile, her attendance is compulsory. OP does not have the right to say she shouldn't be in school because she's legally required to be there.

Her violence is without justification. OP made choices here too. He could have stayed calm, tried to de-escalate, or make a more active effort to not have annoying habits that impact other people.

I would have reacted to this annoying sound, no matter the state of the menstrual cycle. Because annoying sounds are making me a monster, I can not get over them.

You are the butthole for repeating the sound and connecting menstruation and your annoying noise. You can tell her you don't like the way she reacted, whatever, but not that she reacted only because of being on periods.

FWIW: I get really aggressive hearing some noises that annoy me. For example, someone tipping with a pen when I should concentrate. Or doing the same with a leg. Or making nose sniffing sounds instead of sneezing in a towel. Or making mouth sounds while eating. Snoring, unnecessary coughing or scratching or coughing nonstop instead of leaving the room and so on.. I can't help, I'm just getting aggressive. I try to avoid it, but in a classroom, you can't just walk away...

It just would get me get completely crazy if the one repeating such a sound after I told him to stop would tell me some bs about hormones...

Women have a right to rage over small things

This behaviour isn't appropriate but just pointing out she may have PMDD. Not an excuse but I have it and I end up leaving work early and/or crying in the bathroom because small annoying things like pen tapping or throat clearing become legitimately unbearable

34 years old with PMDD - I cannot control it. My mind physically thinks I am being completely logical and really I'm borderline homicidal. I have dealt with this for years and it's still hard to get a fricking handle on it.

As much as drama lore detests wand and throne shit, now there's some plan to balkanize the board by starting "houses." When this site was new, so many people came here and said, "This is great. It has the refreshing feel of old r/drama and shitposting like on the internet of old." I know that I submit a lot, but I also enjoy coming here to be exposed to dramatic happenings on the internet or elsewhere that I did not know about. Lately, the front page is just crammed with posts that are meta. The site is starting to eagerly hufflepuff its own farts.

What is going to draw new users? I know that most people here are from reddit. It's been a place where, mostly, people who may not agree with or even like each other have been able to post together and put aside old differences to just enjoy drama. I've seen a couple of comments saying, "The site's getting better and better"...but I think it's flaming out in spectacular fashion because any new people who join are going to see mod drama they don't know or give a shit about, random bussypics that serve no purpose (I know bussy pics were a big part of r/drama) but now you have people just reposting bussy pics that have already been posted. The original liberty that the site represented gaining back all of the things that reddit admins hypocritically took from r/drama seems mostly gone in favor of meta, metameta, various narcissists making longposts about nothing at all and infighting.

Now we have "houses"? People are supposed to keep track of some deal with houses and some sort of game or something? No one's got time for that. They want to come here to post and see drama. They don't want to see a bunch of pissbabies fighting with each other and mods (I ain't gonna name specific ones) trying to make the site all about them instead of about drama and the various users. The site here right now is almost NOTHING like r/drama was. Looking at it for the past week or so I can't see anything that would attract new people to join and start posting. It's becoming "cliquey" and gross, to be honest.

It's not going to attract people to the site. It's not even uniting the people who post on the site.

Raids though too... one house attacks the other and then based on some kind of stats, successful rolls give all the house members a pizza award or 1 day ban or something. Houses could have stas only they can see and you'd have to guess whether or not your house is strong enough to out-stat who youre raiding.

WTF even is this? This is a site for posting drama, I thought. This other noise is just bullshit and IMO is going to destroy the place.

If you look at the Kiwifarms thread about drama.net you have several complimentary comments. One of them is someone saying that they read a thread here about witchesvspatriarchy and the comments made them laugh. All this "houses" bullshit is going to cause strife and annoyance. The place will cease to be fun and lighthearted. Why not take the site back to its purpose and reclaim the refreshing atmosphere of freedom to post about drama and dump all of this r-slurred metadrama and complicated bullshit involving houses? There. I said it.
